Privacy policy

General information

When you use our website, personal data about you may be collected. This can occur when you enter information yourself, such as your email address. In addition, our system automatically collects certain data, for example, when you visit our website. This happens regardless of the device or software you use to access our site.
Any data you provide on our website is given voluntarily; you will not experience any disadvantages if you choose not to disclose your information. However, without certain data, we may be unable to provide specific services or enter into contracts. In such cases, we will inform you about the required information.
On this website, personal data is collected only in accordance with applicable data protection laws, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The technical terms used in this text are explained in more detail in Article 4 of the GDPR.

Data processing is permitted under the GDPR in three cases in particular

  • in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 GDPR, if you have given your consent to the processing of your data by us; in each case, we will inform you in advance in this privacy policy and at the time of obtaining your consent, in accordance with Art. 4(11) GDPR, about the specific purpose and circumstances under which your data will be processed by us;
  • in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if the processing of your personal data is necessary for the initiation, conclusion or execution of a contractual relationship
  • pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, if, after balancing the interests involved, processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests. These interests include, in particular, analyzing, optimizing, and securing our website offering—specifically, analyzing user behavior, creating profiles for advertising purposes, storing access data, and using third-party providers.

Inventory data, usage data and advertising

Inventory data

We collect inventory data (e.g. name, address and e-mail address, any services used) insofar as they are necessary for the establishment, content or modification of a contractual relationship between us and the user.

Usage data

We also collect usage data (e.g., visits to the website, interest in products) to enable and bill users for the services provided on our website.
We only combine usage data when and to the extent necessary for billing purposes. Otherwise, we create usage data in a pseudonymized form, and only if you have not objected to this. You may object at any time by contacting the address provided in the legal notice or the controller named in this privacy policy.
The legal basis for this data processing is, on the one hand, our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in analyzing the website and your usage, and, where applicable, the legal authorization to store data in the context of initiating a contractual relationship pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Furthermore, each time you use this website, our provider stores information—so-called server log files—which are automatically transmitted by your browser. These include:

  • Your IP address
  • Type and version of your browser
  • Host name
  • Time of visit
  • the page from which you visited our site
  • name of the page you accessed
  • the exact time of the visit
  • the amount of data transferred
This data is only used for statistical purposes and does not allow us to identify you as a user.

Advertising

Before sending you advertising, we will request your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 4 No. 11 GDPR, unless the advertising concerns products similar to those you have already purchased. This typically occurs when you provide your consent to receive our newsletter or when you complete a contact form.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter offered on our website, we will provide you with detailed information regarding the content of the newsletter, the specific data we collect from you, and the purposes for which this data is used. Please be assured that your data will not be shared with third parties and will be used exclusively for the purpose of sending you the newsletter.

We will only send you the newsletter after you have given us your explicit prior consent. Upon registration, you will receive an email from us containing a confirmation link, additional information, and a request for your consent. By clicking on this link, you confirm your agreement to receive our newsletter and related promotional content.

The legal basis for storing your data is your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, which you provide when registering for the newsletter. You may revoke your consent at any time by sending us an informal message (for example, via our contact form, by email, or by using the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter). Please note that revoking your consent does not affect the legality of any data processing that has already taken place.

In compliance with legal requirements, we are obligated to document your consent as part of the double opt-in process. Therefore, your newsletter subscription, the dispatch of our confirmation email, and your consent (as indicated by clicking the confirmation link) will be recorded and stored, including the date, time, location, and your IP address.

To deliver our newsletter, we utilize a proprietary application developed by Langmeier Software. This is done as part of our legitimate interest in ensuring the secure and efficient management of customer communications and analytics.

Your data will remain stored by Langmeier Software for as long as it is included in our email list, is required for legal purposes, is necessary to protect our legitimate interests, or as long as we are legally obligated to retain it.

If you subscribe to the newsletter offered on our website, we will inform you in detail about the topics covered, the data we store, and the purposes for which it is used. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties and will be used solely for sending the newsletter.

We will only send you the newsletter after receiving your explicit prior consent. You will receive an email from us containing a confirmation link, further information, and a request for your consent. By clicking this link, you agree to receive our newsletter and promotional content.

The legal basis for storing your data is your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, which you provide when registering for the newsletter. You may withdraw this consent at any time by sending us an informal message (e.g., via our contact form, by email, or by using the unsubscribe link in every newsletter). This withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to your revocation.

As we are legally required to document your consent as part of the double opt-in process, your newsletter subscription, the sending of our confirmation email, and your consent (as indicated by clicking the confirmation link) will be recorded and stored, including the date, time, location, and your IP address.

Consent

If we request your consent to process your data, we will clearly and accessibly explain the specific purposes for which your consent is being sought. Any consent we request is entirely voluntary. If you wish to receive a benefit that is linked to giving consent, you can also obtain it without providing consent—simply contact us.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. You can do this by sending us an informal message, for example via our contact form, by emailing the address provided in the legal notice, or by using an unsubscribe link (if available). Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any data processing carried out before your withdrawal.

Storage period

Your data will be stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of the respective data processing. Further storage may occur if it is required for legal prosecution, to protect our other legitimate interests, or if we are legally obligated to retain your data (for example, due to tax retention periods, which are generally 6 or even 10 years).
