Langmeier Backup: Installing volume licenses

Users who want to install Langmeier Backup on multiple computers can use Silent Setup and the automatic activation of the volume license to install Langmeier Backup on the computers.

Silent Setup

Silent Setup performs the installation without user interaction.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Execute the Langmeier Backup setup with the command line parameters"/s /v/qn".

    Example: langmeier-backup-en.exe /s /v/qn



Activation of the volume license

If you have a volume license for Langmeier Backup, you have the option of automatically activating your Langmeier Backup installations with this volume license.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Remove the hyphens in the license key.

  2. Save the license key without hyphens in the following registry entry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Langmeier Software\Langmeier Backup\app\v9regkey

    Note: For 32-bit operating systems, omit the subfolder Wow6432Node.

  3. To activate this license without user interaction, set the following value in the registry to "1":

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Langmeier Software\Langmeier Backup\AutoActivation

    Note: Again, omit the Wow6432Node subfolder on 32-bit operating systems.
